Ressurection Day!

He actually got one of these open by himself and started chowing down, what a smart boy!

Cute cousin Abby, and Karsten. They were so cute, they were in each others baskets, neither of them minded:)

My pretty mom and the babies.

We thought he looked so handsome!

We had a fun Easter! We had an amazing Good Friday service at church, we LOVE our church! Then, Sunday morning we had french toast casserole (I hope to make that our new Easter tradition). Went to church Sunday morning to remember what a blessing it is that our Lord raised from the dead and the implications of that in our lives. After church we headed to Escondido for an Easter egg hunt for the little ones at Uncle Joel and Aunt Rene's house. Following that, we went to Oma and Opa's house for a yummy turkey dinner! It was a busy but fun day!
Praise God for giving us His Son to pay the penalty for our sin, and for raising Him from the dead to prove that he is God!!! Happy Resurrection day!

Playing in the water

Not only does Karsten LOVE to play outside, but he LOVES playing in the water too, especially with the hose! Last weekend, we let him have at it and play in the hose, needless to say he was soaked, but obviously very happy!

Daddy and Karsten mowing the lawn

Uncle Ben and Karsten

It was so cute, I had to run and get the camera! Karsten was "helping" Dada push the lawn mower. He LOVED it and was so obedient with everything Daddy told him to do. He loves the lawn mower and always wants Daddy to hold him while he mows, but this time he walked and pushed too. He had so much fun!

Karsten in the cupboard

I usually let Karsten play under the sink in his bathroom. He usually will just pull the stuff out and play with it, well this time, I turned around and he was inside! Then he couldn't get out, it was hilarious!

Oma, Opa, and the birthday boy!

Oma made this awesome train cake! It was so cute!

Before...

After!

Karsten turned a year old on January 18th. We had a party at our house with lots of family and friends. Karsten had a blast and we were so blessed by everyone's love for our son.

Karsten,
We love you so much! You are such a fun baby, you love people and playing with others. You are so happy and social! You are very determined and focused to learn new things. You are independent and yet love to be close to mom and dad. We love that you cuddle with us and hope that you stay that way! We pray that you will turn out to be what your name means, a "follower of Christ!" You have changed our lives for the good in so many ways. We couldn't be more proud to have you as our son! We thank our great God for you constantly and enjoy you more and more every day!
Love, Mom and Dad

Learning to walk

Karsten loves pushing the laundry basket up and down the hallway. This is the beginning of January, he's almost 1!
