Demings and Morloks

" So you say you have some hair I can borrow?"

Asher (3 years), Abigail (8 months), & Karsten (6 months)

Grandma Rene and the grand babies

We went to Escondido for my sister-in-law's birthday we're the same age, only 6 days apart. We finally got some pictures of the 3 cousins, YAY!

Guess who woke up with his first tooth?!

Karsten has been going through the pains of teething for a while now on and off, not too terrible though. The last few days he has been doing really well so we just thought he was on the "off" swing of teething, but no, he woke up today with a little sharp tooth poking through his gums on the bottom. You can't really see it that well but you can sure feel it! We were so excited we tried to take a picture but it's really not visible. I wanted to post them anyway for the memory:)

Karsten growing up more each day

Two days ago Karsten started REALLY rolling over. He was able, like I've posted before, to roll from his back to his front really well, but now he can go in a continuous line until he reaches what it is that he wants. We think that since he's been sitting up it has really helped him to roll over better because he wants to reach for everything now, and so he has the motivation to get things he wants. Oh boy I have a feeling things are going to start happening quickly, I'd better keep my eye on him!

What's new

Right now Karsten is just about 6 months old. He is able to sit up on his own once we place him there. He did it very quickly we just practiced with him for a couple days and he got it! He can say "ma ma ma ma," "Da," "na na na na," and "wa wa wa wa." He is eating a lot of different fruits and veges including sweet potatoes, carrots, peaches, pears, and mango. He's teething right now with his first tooth (I can feel the little bubble on the bottom) so he's very clingy and can be pretty fussy. He rolls really well onto his stomach from his back but is not as great at flipping back over still. His favorite thing right now to play with is this small foam USC jersey thing that Chris has , it's called a coosy (sp?). He also loves his mini basketball that Daddy bought for him. His favorite place in the house is on our bed with the blinds open so he can look out the window. He loves bright colors and is reaching for things that he wants very well now, even if it's across the room. He also loves to play with mommy's hair. Daddy is the most fun to play with, he enjoys him more than any toy right now. He's so much fun and so incredibly cute! We are so blessed to be his parents and watch him grow and develop every day!

Karsten sitting up, and cute family pics

Karsten checking himself out on the blog

Such big boy sitting up!
if you click on this one to make it big it's scary cause I fixed the red eye w/ the airbrush thing... so leave it small and it's cute:)

This was sooo cute! Karsten and Daddy were watching a movie and they were both so into it.

His new "highchair". It's one you strap to a normal chair, he looks so big in it!

Fourth of July weekend

cousin Abigail and Kartsen

Little Abby, isn't she cute?

Karsten's new hat. Off to go swimming.
Fourth of July ended up being fun. The Whites invited us over to go swimming which ended up being really fun. Karsten slept through it, but we played with Eli:). Then later that day we went to Chris' parents house and had some yummy bbq and hung out. We went home before fireworks and got Karsten to bed... maybe next year he'll be ready for them.
The next day my brother's family came over and so did my mom. We bbq'd and had a good time hanging out with them. The kids were especially cute together.
